"I love the small town, main street USA atmosphere that Southport still offers..."

Although Pam Lawrence is new to RE/MAX Southern Coast, she is a very familiar face in the Southport and Bald Head Island business community.  Moving from second home ownership on Bald Head in the 1980’s to becoming a fulltime resident for thirteen years and now living in Southport for the past ten years, she and her family are staunch fans of the area.  “I love the small town, main street USA atmosphere that Southport still offers. Plus, there’s water, water everywhere! And there’s nothing like sitting on my front porch swing in the late afternoon with a view of the Southport waterfront.”

A licensed agent for more than 30 years, Pam has spent her career working in real estate and development including working for the state of North Carolina’s business development office recruiting businesses to move to the Research Triangle Park.

She then worked for Raleigh’s former mayor in property development.  The move to Bald Head accelerated her Real Estate career where she founded Lawrence Sales and Marketing focused on new home communities.  Additionally, Pam owned Bald Head Island Vacations specializing in the vacation rental market as well as Theodosia’s Bed & Breakfast.  After selling those successful businesses, she and her family relocated to Southport where she concentrated on Lawrence Sales and Marketing working with communities such as Harbor Oaks, Cottage Point, and South Harbour Village.

Joining RE/MAX Southern Coast was a decision based on several factors.  “The beautiful new office, just across the street from the water tower, is just a short walk from my home.  But the deciding factors were the people and the feeling of camaraderie that exists at RE/MAX Southern Coast.  It felt like coming home to me.”

Working with clients and introducing them to the area is very gratifying for Pam.  “Having been a long time area resident as well as working in real estate for many years, I have a great deal of local knowledge that I love sharing with my clients while listening to the wants and needs of the buyer.  Identifying the right property located in the right place and at the right price is a challenge I enjoy.”

Pam and her husband Gary, a local attorney specializing in Real Estate law, have a daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren also living in Southport and a son and daughter-in-law with a new baby girl living in Raleigh.  “Spending time with family is very important to Gary and me.  We also love boating and spending time at the area beaches.  I hope to get back to golf…when things slow down a little!” Based on Pam’s track record and work ethic, that isn’t likely to be anytime soon.
